Newest additions: Frantisek Vizner and Pavel Pánek Vases

Just added three new Czech glass vases to the shop. I love them all but, well, they are for sale now... so hush if you like these because they likely will sell pretty fast.

I listed two stunning jardiniere style vases in heavy glass designed by Frantisek Vizner to Libochovice Glassworks in the 1960's and both showing strong optical style characteristic of Vizner works. The third is a small vase designed by Pavel Pánek for Rosice Glassworks in 1974 with pattern 3516. This Pavel's glass vase has the same vibes of his other boob vases and bowls.

Frantisek Vizner designed this jardiniere vase pattern 3236 for Libochovice

Danish Design Museum - Designmuseum Danmark

Last week I took a four day trip to Copenhagen and this time I had a quite free schedule which allowed me to visit places I have never visited before. Of course I visited less places than I've wished for but, still, it was a great fun to visit whatever places I wanted to. So I finally visited the Danish Design Museum, a place I've always wanted to visit but never had a chance. I tried once before but it didn't work because of the museum's unfortunate opening hours (Monday is closed).

I visited it on a Tuesday and I had a great time there. So many amazing things to see there. Not many glasses though, for a fanatic like me it was quite a disappointing fact there, but everything else was amazing. The famous Danish Chair hall is really incredible (loads of picture below on this post...) and one can spend hours in there reading everything that is there to be read...

I also loved the rooms dedicated to the "influencers", countries and artists who influenced Danish artists and designers and played an important role in the formation of the Danish design. There is this big exhibition going one right now showing the Japanese influence in Danish design. Really stunning pieces of Japanese design side by side with Danish design pieces. Amazing. There is also big exhibit of Chinese porcelain and ceramic and French tapestry and collage. The influence comes from so many places that it is unfair for me to mention only the Chinese and the Japanese rooms. There is so much to see and I totally recommend.

There is also a nice cafeteria in the museum, called Klint Café if I remember well (lazy to check right now) and the food and drink are quite good with very affordable prices.

Magnor Glass at the Oslo Design Fair SS2018

These are just some quick pictures of the stand og Magnor Glass of Norway at the Oslo Design Fair Spring Summer 2018 last month in Lillestrøm fair hall.

I love everything about this collection, the colors, the forms and specially those dark grey light pendants. Bravo Magnor. Great collection.
