One of the few pieces still available at our shop. The sales of Sklo Union vases have exploded during the lockdown months and most of our inventory is gone. I was able to source new pieces, which sold instantaneously, some of them in less than 24 hours. This turquoise blue MORAVIA vase was designed by Vladislav Urban in 1969 for Rosice Glassworks of former Czechoslovakia. This is a fabulous glass piece in a very hard to find color. Truly, a great find. You can buy it now HERE

As beautiful as it gets - Sklo Union Pale light blue MORAVIA jardiniere vase
This fabulous pale light blue glass jardiniere vase did not warm its place on our shelves. It was sold almost instantaneously after the listing was published. I decide to blog about it here because it is too beautiful of a glass piece to be left out of this blog. This gorgeous piece is part of the MORAVIA series designed in 1969 by Vladislav Urban to Rosice Glassworks of former Czechoslovakia. It is so beautiful that it hurts to let it go. But we are not here to play, we are here for business.
Hope you enjoy some pictures.

Newest additions: Frantisek Vizner and Pavel Pánek Vases
Just added three new Czech glass vases to the shop. I love them all but, well, they are for sale now... so hush if you like these because they likely will sell pretty fast.
I listed two stunning jardiniere style vases in heavy glass designed by Frantisek Vizner to Libochovice Glassworks in the 1960's and both showing strong optical style characteristic of Vizner works. The third is a small vase designed by Pavel Pánek for Rosice Glassworks in 1974 with pattern 3516. This Pavel's glass vase has the same vibes of his other boob vases and bowls.

One more post filled with lovely Czech glass vases. Today I bring four of my favorites Sklo Union pressed glass vases, all of which have been added to our Etsy Store recently. The vases in these post are from Pavel Panek (1), Vladislav Urban (2) and Adolf Matura(1) and all four of them are in fantastic condition. The squared vase designed by Matura is simply stunning, one of a kind, a collectors piece very hard to find around here. I must confess that I do have second thoughts about this listing it but, at the same time, I just can not keep all the vases that I have right now and for the time being I will stick to my plan of offering collectors out there the chance to own these beauties.

One of Jiri Brabec Vases for Rosice Glassworks

Jiri Brabec
Jiri Brabec (1933-2005) created over 200 designs for Rosice Glassworks, part of the so called Sklo Union, a cooperative of glass producers of former Czechoslovakia. Brabec graduated from the College of Arts and Crafts in Prague and was a colleague of other famous Sklo Union designer like Frantisek Vízner, Rudolf Jurnikl and Vladislav Urban. Later he worked in Rosice near Brno where he created over 200 designs. I have just listed this amazing vase to our Etsy store. Surprisingly, it is the first Brabec vase I ever found, they are quite rare around here. You find the vase here

Czech Pressed Glass
I love Czech pressed glass and I know I am not alone. I am totally aware that Bohemian glass manufactured in former Czechoslovakia is an obsession of vintage lovers and collectors all over the world and I love that because I am not a real collector. See, I could never afford to build a great collection and was never lucky enough to find good bargains around. When I had the chance to buy a Czech vase, there were so many and I never knew which one to choose. On the end, one of my favorite forms of entertainment is see other people's collections of Czech glass. I really enjoy it and I find it really relaxing. I do have some vases my self, three or four... wish I had more, but it is all good. These ones here are for sale at our Etsy store. Enjoy.
